We have designed a receipt printer cover that can be retro-fitted to most gas pumps. May also fit some cardlocks and pedestal type pumps. It consists of a gasket and
flip up cover that sticks securely to the face of the pump.
- The temperature should be above 30 degrees Fahrenheit during the installation.
- Measure the area around the receipt printer. You will need an unobstructed area that is 4 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches high.
- Clean the area where the cover will be applied. This includes removal of any decals or tape from the area where the rubber gasket will be placed.
- Assemble the base plate and cover as shown in the picture.
- Peel back the film covering the back of the gasket.
- Push onto the surface of the pump over the receipt printer.
Your customers can flip up the cover to retrieve their receipt no matter what the weather. And you'll spend less time and
money on repairs.
In test market areas of North & South Dakota and Minnesota hundreds of the receipt printer covers have been installed. Most convenience store operators found that the receipt printer cover works best for those gas pumps that face north and west. The receipt printer cover protects the printer chute area from wind, rain, sand, ice, & snow and possibly extending the life of the printer by helping prevent a shorting out expensive electronic circuit boards.
